How does pricing work?

Can I customize the database to meet my organization’s unique needs?
Yes. You can easily add custom attributes to maintain specific detailed data for your organization. Any custom field can be presented to members OR kept hidden and used for your own administrative purposes.

Can you automatically renew members and charge them?
You have the flexibility to configure this so members are automatically renewed and charged OR invoiced. Additionally, scheduled notifications are sent prompting members that their membership is due for renewal.

We have existing member data, can you help me migrate this into Membership Manager?
Sure. Once you create your account, contact your account rep and we can help you with this process.

Do I need to install anything on my computer?
No, that’s the beauty of hosted software. All you need is a browser and an internet connection. We maintain the infrastructure, security and software maintenance so you can focus on growing your membership.

Can I export my member database?
Yes, it’s your data. You can export your data at anytime in CSV format.

What are the payment options for members?
You choose how you would like members to pay; online via Visa or Mastercard or with a mailed check.

What are the set-up costs to use Membership Manager?
There are no up-front costs to use the software. You can start using it without any out-of-pocket costs at all.

How does pricing work?
Pricing is based on your total number of members, see the table below to see your per member license fee.

How often do I receive my membership dues collected online through Membership Manager?
Compete-At distributes fees to you every 2 weeks, for a total of 26 pay periods per year.

Do I pay monthly or annually to use Membership Manager?
Neither. We distribute your collected member fees every two weeks minus your per-member license cost for the given payment period. See the scenario below for more details.

How are my license fees calculated?
Your fee is calculated as follows: (Per Member Fee) x (Number of Members) / 26 payment periods

Example:

For the first pay period In January you have 2000 members. ($1) x (2000) / 26 = $76.92 license fee (Only about 4¢ per member!)
The second pay period in January you have 2050 members. ($1) x (2050) / 26 = $78.84 license fee (Only about 4¢ per member!)

In the scenario above, Compete-At would retain the license fee for the given period from funds collected from new member dues and renewals. The remaining balance is sent to your club with a detailed statement for your records.

What are the benefits to small clubs?
Whether you manage 30 members or 3,000 members, you are still faced with the same logisitcal challenges. Membership Manager streamlines the process for renewals, member notifications and signups. Additionally, small clubs benefit from a complete club website with no hosting or maintenance costs.
