How does pricing work?

It's simple. Compete-At charges a small transaction fee for each entry starting at just $1.00 Click here to view all pricing questions.

What does it cost to sign up?

It doesn't cost anything to sign up for an account so you can put your credit card away. Event Manager is a "pay-as-you-go" service in which we retain a small transaction fee. You are free to create events and test drive the system. Once your event is open for registration and you start collecting fees, then we will retain our small transacton fee and send your funds to you via PayPal.

Is Event Manager used just for sporting events?

We provide tailored solutions for certain sports, but also have a more universal event type which can be used for seminars, camps, social events and more.

Can we customize our own event website?

We provide a library of website banner templates for many types of events. You can upload your logo and choosing which color you want your navigation to be. Additionally, you can upload a custom banner that you design. We also can design a banner for you at no extra cost.

Can I grant other people access to help me manage my events?

Yes. Event Manager allows you to invite other club admin users and grant them permissions. For example you may want to grant someone access to manage the web content but not edit any event specifics. OR you may want to grant a photographer access to upload photos, but not access the rest of the system. Access can also be granted on an event by event basis so a volunteer for one event can not access details from another.

Can I install Event Manager on my own server?

We only offer a SAAS solution (Software As A Service). We host and maintain everything so you don't have to. Everything is included, there are no additional hosting costs.

Can you help me set up my first event?

Sure we can, but most users don't require our assistance. We provide you with quick start guides, video tutorials, blogs, etc. to help you get started. Event Manager is simple to use and you can test your own registration event website over and over again. For more complex events, one of our in-house event management experts can help you at no additional cost.

We run a series of weekly events, can Event Manager handle this type of event?

Absolutely. The flexibility of the system allows you to accomplish this in multiple ways. You can set up one event and have registrants choose the week or weeks they want to participate during sign up. You could also create a single event and then "clone" it for each week and simply change the dates.

What kind of reports are available?

All of your data can be exported in CSV format. Available reports include: Financial reports by transaction type, registrant report, entry summary, scratch sheet and event check-in sheet.

Can we assign registrant numbers?

Yes. There are several options available to you to assign registrant or bib numbers. See this 1 minute video “Assign Bib & Entry Number” for more information.

Can a registrant save an incomplete registration and later return to amend or complete it?

Yes. Event Manager provides each registrant with a secure account in which they can manage entries to all of their events. You as the administrator have the option to disable or “lock” entries from additional changes at any time. This can be pre-scheduled to happen automatically or on a specific date.

Can we include our own custom waiver or parental permission field?

You can add as many custom waivers or requirements you need for your event. For certain event types you can even dictate which team member needs to complete which requirement. For instance, you may want only the team registrant to complete a safety waiver, but all team members complete a emergency contact form.

Can we charge registrants different fees based on their selection at sign up?

Yes, this can be accomplished in multiple ways. You could create separate event divisions or categories and assign each division it's own fee. You could also create a group of fees and make them choose at least one. Event Manager's fee builder is extremely robust.

Can we accept donations during sign up?

Yes, you can create optional fields for donations during registration. You can set these up as an open dollar amount or give your participants a selection of donation amounts to choose from.

Can we set up a late fee for our event?

Yes, late fees are a standard fee. You simple enter the amount and the date you want it to go in effect and Event Manager handles the rest.

Can we add a processing surcharge to cover our costs to use Event Manager?

Yes, you can either increase the registration fee slightly or include this as a separate mandatory fee.

Will any advertising be displayed on my Event website?

No, will not display any banner ads on your website nor will we solicit your event registrants during sign up.

Can we create an event photo gallery?

Yes. Included with Event Manager is a full photo gallery. You can create albums for specific events or your club in general. Additionally you can restrict contributions to just your account admins, or you can open up albums so anyone can post images.

Can I send Emails to my event participants?

Included with Event Manager is a robust notification engine. You can setup scheduled Emails, triggered Emails or simply send Emails on-demand. Examples: Send a notification to all participants who has not completed a specific requirement form two weeks prior to event. Schedule a notification to send a thank you message to all registrants two days after the event occurs. Schedule a notification to send one week prior to the event with parking instructions. etc. etc.
