I lost my password, how do I recover it?

You can recover your Compete-At password by clicking on the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the login page of the specific event; you will be prompted to recover the password by answering the security question. If you can't remember the answer to your security question, please create a trouble ticket here.

I can't remember my username, how do I figure it out?

Your username is your Email address. If you have a business and personal Email address, please try both. If you still have difficulty, create a trouble ticket here.

How do I update my Email address in my Passport account?

Login to Passport using your old Email address. Go to setup and you will see the form to update your Email.

How do I register multiple people using one Email address?

The Compete-At Event Manager System uses your Email address as your username. For this reason, each Passport account can only be associated with one Email address. So, it's not possible to register two people or children for the same event with the same Email address. Here are some options to help:
1. Register a second Email address with a free provider such as Yahoo, Google and use this for your second account. You can even forward emails from this new address to your existing address so you don't have to maintain two accounts.
2. Some Email providers allow you to set up secondary or "sub" accounts. So, if your email is "john-smith@yahoo.com" the address "john-smith-regatta@yahoo.com" also be set up and used to register. Check with your provider to see if this is an option.
If neither option above is a possibility, contact the event organizer and they may accept a mailed entry OR they can enter your second person manually into the event.

I was invited by more than one team to an event. What should I do?

You can only participate on one team for any given event. You should accept one invitation and reject the other.

Event Registration Problems


How do I cancel my registration or withdraw from an event?

You will need to communicate this directly with the event organizer to withdraw from the event and to request refunds. Go to the event website and click "contact" in the main navigation to contact the event organizer.

During registration, I was asked for my club affiliation but my club was not listed. What do I do?

Continue with your registration choosing a different club. Contact Compete-At using the technical support form detailing your issue. We will add the club to the list and then you can update your entry.

I'm not sure which division to enter for an event. What should I do?

You should contact the event administrator to answer any specific questions about the event. You can do this by going to the event homepage and clicking "contact" on the main navigation bar.

The event is requesting that I upload an image of a document (e.g. birth certificate). I do not have a digital copy, what can I do?

Here are several options. Contact the event organizer and see if they will accept a fax. Take a digital picture and upload it from your computer. Visit a local office supply store and they can provide a digital copy for you from a scan of the document.

I'm trying to register for an event but it says registration is closed, what can I do?

Contact the event organizer directly and see if you can still register.

Team Registration Questions


I was sent an invitation to join an event, how do I accept it?

Click on the link provided in the Email. You will need to create your account and then verify your email address for security purposes. From you Passport account homepage you will see the invitation with a link to accept. NOTE: Be sure you create your account using the same Email address that was used for the invitation, otherwise the system will not be able to "link" the two. If you have deleted the email, click here to create your account.

I created my account but don't see the invite anywhere. What next?

Did you use the same Email address that the invite was sent to? If not, contact the team captain and ask them to use the Email address that you used to create the account and then resend the invite.

How do I enter a team for an event?

Anyone can enter the team regardless of the position. BUT, the person registering will be responsible for that team's payment, requirements and managing any team invitations. Just click on the registration link on the event homepage and follow the screens.

Do I have to invite my team members? Can't I just enter their information?

If the event requires no team requirements (e.g. medical waivers, etc.) then you can simply enter their first and last name and you're done. IF the event organizer is asking for specific information from each participant, then each team member should be invited so they can fulfill their own requirements.

Registrant Payment Questions


How do I request a refund?

You must contact your event administrator to request a refund. You can do this by going to your event's homepage. Once there select the "Contact" button on the main navigation. Compete-At cannot refund any participant any entry fees.

Can I pay by check rather than use my credit card?

The event organizer chooses which payment methods are accepted. If you do not see this option, you should make this request directly to the event organizer.
